The Masters Series was designed with low thrombogenicity at the forefront: minimized carbon surface area can lessen thrombus formation, large internal diameters up to 26.1 mm promote low pressure gradients — which can help minimize shear stress and thrombogenicity — and uniform velocities within the hinge recesses help aid washout of blood elements. The Masters HP series brings hemodynamics and implantability together in both the aortic and mitral position, and is now available also for babies and newborns. The 15 mm Masters HP Mitral and Aortic Valve is the world's smallest mechanical heart valve, making it possible to treat the tiniest patients, including newborns and babies. The Masters Series offers a broad range of cuff options — HP standard and expanded cuffs, polyester standard and expanded cuffs, and PTFE cuffs — to tailor implantation to every patient across both the aortic and mitral positions.
