ASAHI Gladius® MG14 PV adapts the MG composite core platform into a 0.014 in peripheral vascular wire format with extended working lengths for femoropopliteal and infrapopliteal CTO intervention. The MG core concentrates penetration force at the tip through a compound stiffness gradient that translates operator push and rotation into focused tip-load delivery within the occlusion body. In peripheral CTO practice, MG14 PV fits between standard peripheral CTO wires and very high tip-load options like the Astato XS series. Its 0.014 in profile provides compatibility with standard peripheral 0.014 in microcatheters and low-profile balloons, while the MG core delivers penetration capability exceeding standard peripheral guidewires. Used in both antegrade and retrograde peripheral CTO crossing strategies, particularly in femoropopliteal CTOs with fibrocalcific morphology where rotating-core technique improves crossing success. Available in 200 cm and 300 cm, 0.014 in.
